Luton – A Magical Moment For Hatters Midfielder

I must admit that I don’t have much time for this new-fangled competition, the Nations League.

To be brutally honest, I’d much prefer to see the Home Internationals tournament brought back, now that was exciting.

But one player, on the books of Luton Town FC, will have fond memories, when he hangs up his boots in years to come, of the competition.

Last night, out in Armenia, our very own Allan Campbell made his international debut for Scotland.

Our midfielder, called into the squad as an injury replacement, joined the action in the 86th minute, replacing Grant Hanley.

It was a comfortable debut for Campbell as Scotland were already leading Armenia, 4-1, but I’m sure it is a moment that Allan, and all those associated with him, will remember with great joy.

However, one thing does intrigue me, I wonder if there was a clause in his contract, when Luton signed the midfielder from Motherwell, stipulating further fees will be paid in the event of an international cap?

Can anyone shed any light on the matter?
