With promotion to League One now assured, the Hatters support will be looking forward to the 2018 / 2019 season.

However, stepping up a division, it remains to be seen how the Hatters fare in a better standard of football.

Will they be up to the challenge?

It is a question that Nathan Jones has responded to in an interview with BBC Three Counties Radio and reported by the, BBC, with Nathan quoted as having remarked,

“John Still started it and credit to him because without him we wouldn’t be in this league to get to League One.

“We’ve got to play two more matches in League Two, but that’s the last we’ll be playing in League Two for a while.

“We took the gamble in recruiting for League One early in terms of recruiting a team that can handle League One.

“We’re not going to go to League One and make up the numbers, we want to go there and we want to make an impact.”

Good to see Nathan appreciating the work John Still did for the club, but it is certainly going to be interesting next season to see if Luton Town can make inroads towards a possible place in the Championship.
