It May Only Be Financially Viable For Luton Town To Keep One Of These Strikers But Which One

In the coming weeks, no matter what league we’ll be playing our football in, some hard decision making will have to be made when it comes to which of those players who have contracts that are expiring should be offered new deals.

The stark reality that the COVID-19 pandemic will affect the clubs’ finances is set to become apparent.

In the last week, or so, we’ve published two articles which related to the futures of two of our strikers, firstly Danny Hylton – the-danny-hylton-situation-could-be-just-the-tip-of-the-iceberg-as-far-luton-town-supporters-are-concerned

and secondly Elliot Lee – luton-town-face-difficult-decision-regarding-new-contract-for-striker.

When it came to Danny Hylton, a poll Vital Luton ran resulted in 79% of you inferring the striker should be given a new deal.

Similarly, when we ran a poll on Elliot Lee, the result wasn’t quite as lop-sided with only 54% inferring the striker should get a new deal.

But, in these financially trying times, I wouldn’t be too surprised if one of the duo was kept and one was let go.

So, if that were the case, which one of the two would you prefer to see remain at Kenilworth Road?

If Luton Can Only Afford To Offer One Of These Two Strikers A New Deal Which Of the Duo Would You Prefer It To Be?

Hi all, the outcome of the season may dictate what happens with hylton and Lee, cos if we go down I can see a few clubs looking at Collins. So we may need to keep both of them as we won’t have funds to look elsewhere..

Hi Alan, I completely agree with you. Until we know what div we are in an how our finances are it would be sensible to keep both for now. Both are proven div 1 strikers an if that’s where we end up they will be needed. Although there could be plenty of choice of players after this ends as I have been banging on about.
