With Luton about to enter the promotion home straight, John Still continues to tinker with his squad.

On the day the trio of Shaun Whalley, Alex Wall and JJ O`Donnell were sent on loan, Still brought a centre half to Kenilworth Road to bolster the defensive ranks.

The player in question is Fraser Franks who has signed for Luton, from Welling United, for an undisclosed fee.

Capped by England at ‘C` level, Franks has been a part of the Welling defence for the past eighteen months making 71 appearances and scoring 4 goals.

Apparently, to claim their man, the Hatters were one of two clubs that activated a clause in the players` contract.

Hopefully, Franks can be a valuable asset as Project Luton looks to reclaim the Football League place this town of ours so deserves.
