Oak Road Open for Hatters Fans Again

Come February 8th when Luton entertains Tamworth at Kenilworth Road, the Oak Road End will be open solely for Hatters fans.

With Tamworth`s away support being minimal, it appears that those who control such matters have done the sensible thing.

Even more so when you consider that on the three previous occasions Luton supporters have been allowed in the Oak Road End the results have been as thus:-

? Luton 4 Hyde 1

? Luton 3 Southport 0

? Luton 4 Gateshead 2

Those results would seem to indicate that having the Oak Road End open for Hatters fans is beneficial, but John Still has his reservations regarding the matter, remarking,

“I think it does give players a lift, absolutely I do.”

“Does it make a difference to results? No-one knows, it`s difficult to say.”

“But I think that for all of us, knowing the support is all around you and when you`re attacking one goal you`re being called complimentary names and not abusive names, also when you`re trying to take a corner.”

So it is true, the players can hear what you are calling them!
