Talking to fellow Hatters, there is a feeling that the performance the side gave against Brentford, in midweek, was up there with the best Luton Town have played all season.

Although Luton entered the Championship fixture on a decent run of form, with 2 wins in the last 3 games, Brentford, challenging for promotion, were expected to be too strong for Luton and take the three points on offer back to West London.

But, the rest, as they say, is history.

The Hatters showed qualities that have only become prevalent in recent games and sent Brentford back to Griffin Park empty-handed.

In doing so, it seems not only did the Hatters impress their loyal support but also the constituents of the League Managers Association (LMA) who, on the back of that fine win, have awarded Luton the prestigious ‘Performance of the Week’ award.

Here’s hoping that the side can replicate that performance this afternoon, against Stoke City, with, once again, three more points being on offer.
