Up at the Keepmoat Stadium, the Hatters slipped to a narrow defeat against Doncaster Rovers.

It was a game, we feel, could have gone either way.

But, as we’ve all come to recognise, a defeat is hard to accept, especially when you’ve been on a four-game unbeaten run, in all competitions.

Lurking on social media, are the thoughts of the Hatters faithful, supporters will to dissect the defeat and the reasons why it didn’t quite work out for Luton Town in South Yorkshire.

Thankfully, the posts we found echo our views that there is nothing seriously wrong with the side, it just wasn’t our day:

Exactly, but others are no so placid:

Fair points, we had as much of the game as Doncaster Rovers and the stats show we had more chances, a fact Nathan Jones will probably rue.

The Hatters also had fourteen corners compared to the two the home side won, a fact that provided a thread that did amuse me:

Reminds me of the days of Joe Payne, even more so with Bristol Rovers visiting Kenilworth Road next Saturday and another high scoring game.

But, returning to the defeat, some posts do apply a far more adult logic to the situation:

Whilst back-to-back promotions would leave the Hatters support ecstatic, the above post does make sense.

But football wouldn’t be football without somebody stepping forward to provide the perfect analysis of why we’re struggling to match the form showed last season:

A fair point?

Please feel free to discuss!
