When you lose it is often better to seek solace in the performance you gave rather than mull over the misery a defeat inflicts.

Up in Yorkshire yesterday, at the Keepmoat Stadium, the Hatters were beaten by Doncaster Rovers.

The Hatters came out second best in a three-goal thriller that saw the home side snatch victory with a strike very early in the second half.

But, those who travelled north, journeying up the M1 from leafy Bedfordshire, will know that the Hatters had more of the game and could quite easily, on another day, have returned south with all three points.

Chances that fell our way were not taken and, as it turned out, proved costly.

But, like our opening gambit suggested, let’s not mull over the defeat and, instead, look towards next weekend when Bristol Rovers are the visitors to Kenilworth Road, for a League One fixture.
