It’s a trip to the seaside this weekend for Luton Town as they make the long trip to the northwest to take on Blackpool.

However, the weather of the past few days would suggest it will be far from a leisurely stroll along the sea front, basked in sunshine, enjoying a candy floss and wearing a kiss-me-quick hat.

Ahead of the trip to Blackpool, the Hatters have suffered a dip in form, taking just 2 points from their last 3 games and 8 points from the last 15 available.

Blackpool, in their last 5 games have accumulated 7 points from the 15 available and currently occupy 16th place in the table four points adrift of the Hatters.

With the injury list, in the Luton squad, seemingly lengthening by the week, much debate has cantered on who will make the starting XI with the kick off looming large, we are now able to end that debate by bringing you the team news.

Starting with our hosts Blackpool:

Continuing with Luton Town:

As for the officials, look no further:

Referee – Tim Robinson
Assistant Referee – Jonathan Hunt
Assistant Referee – Matthew McGrath
Fourth Official – Robert Madley

Fingers crossed this is the game that sees the Hatters get back to winning ways, it is not too much to ask for, is it?

Great 3 pts after a poor game in the first half. Berry yet again comes good for us. Yet another defender injured. Hung on a bit in the later stages but some great last ditch defence. We probably just deserved it. Off for a good night out now 😊

I heard at half-time Alan Cambell tackled the entire queue at the bar! Whatever they are feeding him, keep it coming.
Grit and determination to a man was amazing, Pelly again showing he can muscle this league and Lockyer I don’t have the plaudits in me to satisfy his performance.
Great 3 points but hoping the cost of knocks and tiredness doesn’t leave us short for WC run in.
Side note, Elliot Thorpe can’t get a game against Needham Market… Surely someone at the club has picked up the phone to Burton Albion now?!

  • Chris winter says:

Wait until the transfer window Steve. Sadly nothing can be done till then. Under terms agreed..
