After a run of three games without a victory, the pressure was on the Hatters as they travelled north to take on Blackpool yesterday.
Even more so with a run of two consecutive away games with a midweek trip, to Stoke, to come.
But this injury / illness hit squad gritted their teeth and produced the kind of performance that saw them take all three points, courtesy of a strike from Luke Berry.
The win lifted Luton up into eighth place in the Championship table and a win, in midweek, could see the Hatters elevated into the play-off zone.
Yesterday, at Bloomfield Road, the performance was of such grit and determination that many of those that frequent social media were hailing it as the performance of the season so far:
absolutely massive massive contribution by everyone involved today – great team performance – best of the season imo

Although it was a stoic performance and at times defying the odds, it’s not the kind of display that suited everyone as the following post confirms:
I need a stiff drink. My poor heart!
