With emotions, at the moment, running high and with the Hatters in free-fall and, seemingly, bound for a quick return to League One, there is growing pressure, especially from this site, for a change at the managerial helm at Kenilworth Road.

Rooted to the bottom of the Championship table and with the current form offering us very little hope when it comes to climbing the table, these really are sorry times for the Hatters support.

Now, I’m appreciative of the last two fantastic seasons we’ve had and perhaps I’m being a little greedy to believe that run could continue but, nevertheless, the support is entitled to their say.

Yesterday, at the bequest of a couple of e-mails I received, I opted to run an article: dont-discount-anything-stranger-things-have-happened-at-kenilworth-road-in-the-past, accompanied by a poll, axe-graeme-jones-and-re-appoint-nathan-jones, whereby I speculated as to whether the Kenilworth Road support would support the axing of Graeme Jones and the reappointment of Nathan Jones.

As the title said, stranger things have happened.

The article was, on the whole, appreciated, although I did cop for criticism from one unhappy Hatter who asked if I, a mere shrinking-violet, was an attention seeker.

Criticism though, is water off a ducks back, I accept and appreciate everyone is entitled, within reason, to their own views.

But, returning to the poll, the results showed that a return of Nathan Jones wasn’t to be discounted with 62% voting for that option with the remaining 38% against it.

As for the one person who queried why when he selected the NO option it showed YES, I can assure you there is no sinister agenda, this is an independent site, not some state-run conspiracy!

Whether it will, or won’t happen, I have no say over but like I may have already mentioned on a couple of occasions, stranger things have happened!
