Was it really that long ago?

It only seems like a few years ago!

Am I the only one who thinks that as you get older time seems to pass much quicker, the years just fly by?

A perfect example being something that somebody pointed out to me this morning.

Incredibly, it is 32 years to the day since the Hatters shook the football world and won their first major trophy by beating Arsenal in the League Cup Final, at Wembley.

On that day David really did slay Goliath and in such memorable fashion.

But 32-years-ago, it beggars’ belief.

Now everybody has their favourite memory of that day but what is yours?

Which memory overrides all others when it comes to the events of 24-April-1988?

Will we ever see such a moment again?

Relive the highlights of that day:

Please feel free to drop your favourite memory into the comment facility beneath this article.

Hi mh, if I remember correctly wasn’t that the season we went to Wembley 3 or 4 times 2 semis the final an some strange tournament we played in. If memory serves. But for me John Moore leading us to 6th place in league 1an qualifying for Europe was the tops. So many great games I saw that season.
