After beating Wycombe Wanderers, 2-0, in the FA Cup 1st round, on Saturday, at Kenilworth, the Hatters support were left waiting to see who their side would face in the next round.

The wait was concluded yesterday evening when the draw for the second round eventually took place.

However, Luton Town were given one of those draws that some might be pleased with whilst others might grimace at when they were drawn to play Bury at Gigg Lane.

It’s a game that the Hatters should win but then again it could easily become a banana skin.

The tie will take place, unless the television companies decree otherwise, on Saturday 1st December.

But, we must remember this is no ordinary tie.

It’s a tie that could lead to fame and fortune if the Hatters emerge victorious and enter the draw for the 3rd round of the FA Cup.

If ‘Lady Luck’ smiles in our direction we could be drawn against one of the big boys of the Premier League but, then again, a loss to Bury could see us having slipped on that proverbial banana-skin and pondering over just what might have been.

That’s the magic of the FA Cup!
