This morning, as we continue in our extended lock down spell, the weather outside is as miserable as I feel.

It’s not so much the weather that’s got me down but the awful choice of TV that is available to us while we ponder over what to occupy ourselves with.

However, I have to admit to enjoying our latest series whereby selections of starting XI’s with the same letter of the alphabet are being produced.

The aim today was to produce a combined team of players who had surnames beginning with ‘I’, ‘J’ and ‘K’.

I’d chosen to group the three letters together as the number of players who had played for Luton who had surnames beginning with those letters wasn’t as plentiful.

However, my cohort, Chris Winter, has supplied XI’s for the letters ‘J/I’ and ‘K’ and these can be viewed below:

• Alan Judge
• Fred Jardine
• James Justin
• Lloyd Jones
• Besian Idriza
• Rossi Jarvis
• Marvin Johnson
• Sammy Igoe
• Aaron Jarvis
• Jake Jervis

And

• Dean Kiely
• Alan Kimble
• Kent Karlson
• Lewis Kinsella
• Janos Kovacs
• Andy King
• Mike Keen
• Keith Keane
• Andy Kiwomya
• Tresor Kandol
• Josh Klein-Davies

Whereas another regular visitor to Vital Luton Town, Tony Byfield, stuck to the original format:

• Alan Judge
• Matt Jackson
• Terry Kelly
• Marvin Johnson
• Rob Johnson
• Julian James
• Keith Keane
• Mick Kennedy
• Godfrey Ingram
• Andy King
• Stewart Imlach

As for me, my XI turned out as thus:

• Alan Judge
• Julian James
• Marvin Johnson
• Matthew Jackson
• Rob Johnson
• James Justin
• Mike Keen
• Andy King
• Chris Kamara
• Godfrey Ingram
• Tresor Kandel

Next up will be a combined team for the letters’ ‘L’ and ‘M’, stay home, stay safe and stay tuned.

Hi Tony, I was at that game as well, it is a treasured memory. Brian wasn’t a bad keeper that day an it did lead to an entertaining game!!!!
