This Saturday represents a loyalty test.
It is a test whereby there will be no other reward other than the enjoyment of, hopefully, a Hatters victory.
There will be promise of the three points assisting towards a promotion push or a place in the next round of a cup competition.
I`m sensing that it`ll also be a journey where numbers, compared to earlier this season, will have dropped off, probably significantly.
It`ll be a journey, for some, that might evoke memories of a similar trip north during the wonderful days when Happy Harry Haslam was in charge, the days when we`d crashed back into the top flight.
It`ll be a long trek, a tiring trek, an expensive trek and a trek that at times you`ll wonder why you`ve bothered, especially arriving home in the deep of the night.
You see treks to Carlisle do that to a person, even if the opposition you`re facing are Gateshead!
Will you be there?
I will despite all the aforementioned trepidation ahead of me!
