With the 2-1 defeat to Kidderminster virtually nailing our promotion hopes for this year, Andre Gray has stepped forward with a few words.
Gray, who has seen his own form slip in recent weeks, reckons that our failure to reach at least the play-offs isn`t acceptable, remarking in the local media,
“We`re not happy where we are, struggling to get into the play-offs and that`s not good enough.”
“I think we need to look at them (Kidderminster) and Mansfield and try to get that level of consistency.”
“In the last half an hour (on Saturday), I think we dominated and could have got a few more goals, it wasn`t to be and I think they showed why they are where they are.”
Perhaps the inquest into our failure may point to that FA Cup run, a plethora of fixtures and a managerial change (but that`s another story).
