The Great Escape For Luton Could Well Be On But Bear With Me

Well, well, well!

It’s amazing just how quickly things can change.

Back-to-back wins, against Sheffield Wednesday (h) and Middlesbrough (a) have not only yielded six valuable points and also seen the Hatters keep two clean sheets, but have also, significantly, reduced the gap between occupying a relegation place and retaining our Championship status.

Of course, we are by no means safe just yet, while the Hatters have been winning those around us also desperate to avoid relegation are also picking up points.

But those two wins have seen things change, there is an air of positivity about the club, confidence is growing both on and off the pitch.

However, for survival to become a reality, Luton Town have to get points from their next two fixtures, Charlton Athletic (a) and Brentford (h). Both will be tough fixtures, especially the Brentford game with memories of that 7-0 hiding we received in the reciprocating fixture still vivid in our minds.

Football has a strange habit of dishing up the unexpected, a victory against Brentford could be just that, but who is to say it can’t be done, I’d certainly, in the next two games, take a victory like the one achieved against Middlesbrough, an awful game with the Hatters taking the points by scoring, courtesy of Ryan Tunnicliffe, from the only shot, on target, of the game.

But the big question remains can Luton Town get to that 44-point total I believe will ensure they retain that precious status as a Championship side?

Does a bear ……………………………………?

Plain and simple, I don’t know I’ve never seen a bear in the woods but I’m hopeful I can see the Hatters achieve what was once perceived to be impossible.

Charlton Athletic v Luton Town?

Charlton to Win!

Charlton to Win!

Luton Town to win!

Luton Town to win!

A Draw!

A Draw!
