Smith Appreciates Supporters Wishes

Injury is something that professional footballers learn to cope with.

A period of inactivity can be a frustrating experience but looking forward to the day when you can lace those boots up tends to get you through the dark hours.

However, when that spell on the side-lines is a long one after suffering the kind of injury that Jonathan Smith suffered against Barnet, then the long road back can be a tortuous one.

Thankfully, having had his double break set, Jonathan Smith appears to be in a happy frame of mind and has, via the official site, thanked all those supporters who have sent him their best wishes, with Smith tweeting on the Twitter social network,

‘Just received a stack of get well soon cards.’

“I’ve read every one and they are all up in my house. I’m very touched by all the support and messages and be sure the recovery is well under way. Once again thank you so much.’

It`s also heart-warming to learn that the Bobbers Travel Club have also done their bit by sending Jonathan vouchers to buy games and DVD`s online, something which Smith has also tweeted about, remarking

‘Thank you sooooooo much for the cards and vouchers.’

“Me and my family are very touched to read all those comments.’
