Charlton youngsters James Walker and Lawrie Wilson will take starting roles in today’s 2 p.m. kick off against Stevenage Borough Reserves. Walker is an England Youth international striker and made 17 appearances for Charlton’s Reserves last season. He also had a loan spell with Hartlepool United, but returned after Martin Scott left the club.

Wilson is a second year scholar, who made 12 starts for Charlton Reserves last season, and performed well, but due to the club’s signing full-backs Kelly Youga and Goncalo Brandao in the summer has found his opportunities limited.

Keith Keane returns from international duty with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 side which won the Madeira Tournament, but there appears to be no place for last week’s trialist Romain le Roux. He has been written to by Harrow Borough reminding him that he is a registered player for them and that he would need written permission to even train with another club, let alone play in a competitive match! Whoops!

Peter Holmes also starts and Zach Barratt will be in goal.

Luton Reserves line-up: Barrett, Wilson, Mountford, Holmes, Keane, Perrett, Sinclair, Deeney, Walker, Showunmi, Stevens

Subs: Asafu-Adjaye, Eade, Kenneford, Preston, Charles.
