Raring to Go!

We`ve mentioned before that we may have a few reservations about the signing of Garry Richards.

They`re based on the fact that Richards missed the back-end of last season with a broken leg and hasn`t, yet, returned to action.

But Richards is pretty certain that everything will be okay with Richards, discussing his move to Kenilworth Road, with the local press, remarking to the local media about getting back into the thick of things,

“I had my rest at the end of the season as I had been in a plaster cast for eight weeks.”

“It was called a spiral fracture of the fibula, so it was a break, but no operation was needed which was good.”

“It was more of a mental barrier to get over, so I got over that, took the positives and used it to help me go on.”

“I got out of the cast after the last game of the season and it was a tough time rebuilding the leg.”

“But it`s all going in the right direction and I`m ready for pre-season now, doing everything I need to be doing to be ready for full training, matches and so on.”

“It`s been a long time, so pre-season can`t come round quick enough.”

Let`s hope there are no problems with that leg!
