Optimism Is High

This weekend has seen me participate in two social gatherings.

At the first, my daughters PROM night, I engaged in a conversation with a Hatters season-ticket holder who, like me, reckons this could be our season.

As the conversation continued we talked about our respective daughters and he remarked how his daughter, also Luton season ticket holder, had never seen Luton play in the Football League.

Now I have to say that the two girls looked sunning and I`d love that lovely gentleman to get his wish of his daughter watching Luton in the Football League before she heads off to college and subsequently university.

The second social gathering saw me attend a work colleague`s 50th birthday bash. Here I bumped into a former work colleague who had retired last year. Also a season ticket holder, he too was very optimistic about Luton`s chances of getting promotion this season but he had one gripe, the departure of Amari Morgan-Smith, a move he reckoned could be one we live to regret.

I wonder if he had a point!
