Luton’s Horvath Gets My Vote

Reflecting on the well deserved 2-0 win, away to Hull City, on Friday night, I’ve come up with an ideal subject for debate.

When it comes to voting for the man-of-the-match, I’m guessing that many Luton supporters would opt for Henri Lansbury after the midfielder sored the decisive second goal with a long-range low shot.

However, I’d beg to differ.

I’m torn between two other Luton players who were in the starting XI on Friday night.

I can’t decide between Tom Lockyer and Ethan Horvath, both of whom provided the necessary groundwork for the win to be established.

Lockyer appears to be on a decent run of form and if the Welshman can teer clear of injuries he could remain a decisive factor in Luton Town establishing a solid defence.

But it is Horvath that is continuing to catch the eye.

Signed, on loan, from Nottingham Forest, the American has quickly become a firm favourite with the support.

Against Hull City he, despite not having much to do, was exemplary in everything he had to do.

His shot stopping, his decision making was first class and when he comes to claim a ball, he claims it with authority.

If he doesn’t claim the green jersey for the USA at the forthcoming World Cup then the USA must have a superstar between the posts.

Therefore, I’m going for Horvath as my man-of-the-match, but who was your choice?

Morning mh, you know already my feeling about horvath. He’s the missing link we need no offence to sluga or shea but if we don’t pay whatever needed to sign him it will be a mistake. We haven’t had a keeper like him since feuer. Some very good one’s an some poor. I believe he’s stabilising our defence again. An I for one hope he starts for the USA at the world Cup.

Same for me MH, as I have been saying, he walked into the side as natural as if he had been with us from the start of this journey and is showing week in and week out that he has the right mentality, athletics and ability to go as far as he likes… Hopefully we have a buy out clause on the deal and if so, should be activating it come end of season.
Day and Night the difference in our signings between the sticks from the little we saw of Macey.
