Luton – You Believe It Is On The Cards

Another shift, in the real job, saw the number of article contributions drop off but now with plenty of time on my hands, it is back to the grind.

Although international football, one of the banes of my life, has seen the Championship on hold, I do have numerous ideas, floating around in my head, to hopefully keep you entertained.

The first of which relates to a poll that graced Vital Luton Town just ahead of my return-to-work stint.

After a run of results that saw the Hatters amass 9 points out of the 15 available, courtesy of 3 wins and 2 defeats, although we should point out the defeats were against promotion chasing sides – Norwich City and Swansea City – I asked the question –

Can Luton Secure A Top 10 Finish?

Now considering the struggles we had last season when our Championship status was only secured courtesy of a win at Blackburn on the last day of the season, a top-10 finish would be a wonderful achievement, surely a case of the club punching above its weight.

But it is a quest you believe Luton can achieve with 63% of the opinion that a top-10 finish is on the cards.

As for the remainder of the votes cast, 25% do not believe it is possible while 12% were content to sit on the proverbial fence and go for the undecided option.

I have always believed that when promotion to the Championship was achieved, staying up was the priority in that first season whilst consolidation was the key word for the second season, it does look as if the plan is most definitely on track.

Morning mh, for me it’s obvious. We can’t be promoted to the prem at this time as the stadium is is not up to standard. Therefore we must settle for being around the play off places an looking to get the extra payments to boost our funds. If we could make the finals at Wembley in 2 to 3 years great but we have to be realistic. This I see as about as far as we can go for now anything else would be unrealistic.
