It is a strange feeling, during this truncated season, of not having a midweek game.
It means that to keep the front page of Vital Luton Town rolling I must come up with some, what I would call, abstract ideas for articles.
Thankfully, the inspiration for this article came from a Vital Luton Town regular, Alan.
During an off front-page chat, we were talking about the new Power Court stadium and in particular naming the new stands.
Now, for all I know, the powers-to-be might already have decided what to name four stands, as long as it is not North, West, South and East, I would be willing to put up with most things.
But wouldn’t it be great if the four stands were named after Hatters legends.
But where do you start?
Well, this is where you come in, given the opportunity which figure from our illustrious past do you feel deserves the ultimate accolade and have a stand named after him at the Power Court development?
Feel free to drop the name of who think deserves it the most, or even four names if you feel that way inclined and we will see what the consensus is.

Hi mh, for me it’s Joe Payne, mick Harford, John Moore, an David preece. All worthy candidates
morning all, perhaps just the Harford End/Stand as it would work twice over covering Ray Harford as well.
I’d like to see Ricky Hill & Brian Stein recognised in some way, if not by naming stands after them them perhaps naming suites etc
How about Newell’s bar for a drink and Super Mac for the burger bar !
COYH
Mick Harford, John Moor, Ricky Hill Gordon Turner
Malcom Macdonald, Ricky Hill, Mick Harford, John Moor
Has to be Big Mick, after that, John Moore, and then you pick quite a few names tbh depending on your own personal preference
How about naming the physio suite …. Pleat’s massage …?
Shouldn’t joke. I was there at Maine Road when Antic and Pleaty created a monumental moment in my mental archive of great days out.
Must be Alan West, Brian Stein, Ricky Hill, John Still, Gary Sweet, Eric Morecombe
Has to be harford, Moore, Payne, preece……maybe slip in a uncle les sealy stand somewhere what a legend….
The 2020 stand – they saved the club
The 1988 stand – they all deserve a stand
The 2008 stand – let’s not forget where we fell to
The 2040 stand (nicknamed the Orange stand – the future’s bright) rename that the 2050 stand nearer the time.
