Yesterday, anybody who went for a pre-match drink in The Whitehouse, in the Town Centre, may have seen two familiar faces.
Enjoying a pre-match drink (or two), were the Luton legends Mike Saxby and Kirk Stephens, a duo who played for Luton back in the days when my biggest ambition was to get my wages from my paper round each day.
After leaving The Whitehouse, Mike was good enough to keep his Facebook audience in touch with proceedings by providing updates of what looked to be, an exciting day.
Not sure if the dinner was any better than my pre-match pie, chips and coke from the local chippy!
Once they had been watered and fed, the duo then went on to watch the match, hoping, like myself, for a Luton goal, but it was not to be:
Before returning to warmer climes to enjoy a spot of karaoke.
It pleases me immensely when former players return to the club and show they still have a deep affection for the place where they gave so many supporters immense pleasure.
