Speculation is rife that the Hatters will add another player to their squad today.
According to several sources, including the Shields Gazette, that as we reported earlier this week – luton-town-linked-with-move-for-another-keeper – that the Norwich City keeper is on his way to Kenilworth Road with a medical scheduled for today.
But was Krul our first choice?
The reason I ask is that several sources, including HITC are reporting that the Hatters were after the Southampton goalkeeper, Alex McCarthy.
However, the suspicions are that his £50,000 a week salary was too rich for Luton Town.
If the Krul deal goes through, my belief is that his experience and know-how will ensure he provides stiff opposition for Thomas Kaminski and sufficient cover in case the former Blackburn Rovers keeper picks up a suspension or an injury.
However, whether his advancing years have diminished his prowess between the sticks remains open to debate.

Luton Town – There May Be Trouble Ahead
In my view mh, He probably wasn’t on the clubs radar when we started the process of finding a keeper. An as we’ve now surmised clubs an agent’s have tried to get money beyond our capacity to pay.
i agree, swapping one bench for another though?
Personally I rate him and would make him number 1 to start with age in a keeper is not a problem many have played in top flight at 40 . So I say start him.
According to the BBC Krul is three years old. Getting a bit desperate aren’t we? 🙂
one for the future lol 🙂
One for the future? Yeh, yeh. We’ll send him out on loan when he’s six.
Then sell him when he reaches 20!
