Germany Bonanza As Pre-Season Finalised

Okay, okay, I know I’ve gone on and on about being disappointed about our pre-season schedule.

With no disrespect to Ipswich Town (seemingly twinned with Colchester), Sheffield Wednesday and Wolverhampton Wanderers, I yearned for a trip abroad, a trip to Holland, Spain or Germany, to see our boys in action.

It seems I’ve kind of got my wish but then again, I haven’t!

I’ll explain.

On Friday afternoon it was announced, by the Official Site that the Hatters would be taking on Bundesliga opposition.

In a unique scenario, the Hatters, if I read this right, will be playing TWO Bundesliga teams at the same venue, and the exact details will be announced over the coming days.

So why the confusion from me?

Well, the date offered up in the release, is 05-August-2023, the week before the season commences.

Sadly, I won’t be able to sample the delights of what Germany has to offer as it falls slap bang in the middle of my family excursion to Tenerife, a holiday planned to recharge my batteries ahead of what will, for me, be a very hectic season keeping this flagship unofficial site going.

Gutted, absolutely gutted!
