Four games into the season and the Hatters have yet to earn a point, although things, it would seem, are starting to get better.
Against Fulham, with the Hatters cheered on by their vociferous support, could have snatched at least a point.
But, once again, the Hatters were thwarted by their inability to be clinical in front of goal.
The game-plan, until Luton Town went behind, appeared to be working, let Fulham have possession, keep the defensive shape and rely on counter-attacks and set pieces.
Sadly it was undone by one moment of slackness when the ball was not cleared and Fulham took full adantage to score the only goal of the game.
From that moment on it was an uphill task, Luton had to come forward but left gaps at the back which Fulham could have capitalised on.
Us Hatters fans always knew this was going to be a tough season and so it is proving to be, sat bottom of the table is worrying, especially with 0 points registered, after four games, and a goal difference of -8 with 2 goals scored and 10 conceded, but we should not be alarmed, we have 34 more games left and it was always going to take time for this squad to gel.
Thankfully, as social media suggests, the Hatters support remains firmly behind the side, as the following posts illustrate:
Frustrating game howefer much better from the lads. Keep improving and it will come 🧡

There’s also praise from supporters of other clubs, who apreciated how far we’ve come and what we’ve achieved:
Keep your heads up, things will come eventually. Played with spirit against us, was worried when Woodrow and Adebayo came on, didn’t want them scoring, good luck this season

And, for those who like to follow statistics, how about this one for the forthcoming game, at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, next Saturday:
We conceded 4 goals, then 3, then 2 and now 1. Next week clean sheet 👀

Let’s hope so and let’s hope we can clinically take one or two of the chances that come our way and get that crucial first Premier League win of the season.
