Luton – The Result Of The Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu Vote Revealed

Over the weekend, I decided to open the proverbial can of worms when it comes to one player.

In running an article – what-to-do-with-pelly-ruddock-mpanzu – I always knew there would be some responses when it comes to a player some appreciate, and others think does not deserve a place in the side.

Indeed, I wasn’t that surprised that opinion was, comments wise, seemingly split right down the middle.

Therefore, I spent some time following how the poll, associated with the article was going.

Would our fraternity vote to keep him, sell him or loan him?

Now, with Pelly being 28-years-of-age and having played for the Hatters for the last eight years, personally I thought loaning him out was the least likely option something 6% felt was their preferred option.

Which left us with the options of sell him or keep him and, in analysing the results, one could argue there was no real majority.

However, not keeping you in limbo anymore, I can declare that keeping the player, with 50%, did pip the sell him voters who reached 44%.

With a raft of signings having been made this summer, seven at the last count, and with Pelly currently still trying to recover from the injury he sustained in the latter stages of last season, it remains to be seen what Nathan Jones plans are for the player.

The starting XI post was most intriguing for me (nice formation and team MH).
The 3 most heated debates (Pelly/Isted/Youth) and nobody used any of them either in starting XI or as preferred subs.
Are we doing these votes with our heart and not our heads or are we still shell shocked from the number of injuries last year and depth of squad used into the play-offs?

Morning mh an Steve, I think it’s to early to call at the moment is nj going to change the favoured formation go with it or something new. I would suggest that at this time this is what is being looked at in training an who is adapting well to the plans. An therefore the only clue we will get before the first game will be who lines up against West ham and the formation before we can guess the starting team.

Also I think we know already with the loan of neufville that perriera will have to be very good in preseason to figure along with Thorpe.

Seems that Luke Berry is more Popular than Pelly which makes sense based on last seasons performance of both players – we need to save money on wages now – Berry is a proven goalscorer which makes him an asset to the team more than Pelly.

It will please many that pelly won’t figure for a while, while he recovers from his knee op. Also bit difficult to sell an injured player.

Will know more later this week. I will be working with him over the next few weeks, so I pass on everyone’s good wishes…lol….

Wish I could be, sadly a long trip from Bahrain. Other than the gallery pics (appreciate them posted) is there any video content available on ifollow planned for the U23 this season?
Don’t get to see much of the talent progressing, i.e. Pereira we mainly see from Atlanta and Bradford highlight reels. Any pointers on how to monitor from afar for international fans would be greatly appreciated.
