Luton – The Most One Sided Poll Result Ever

Although, as I admitted in a previous article, I was apprehensive about this World Cup, fearing it wouldn’t grab my attention, I have, slowly, gotten into it.

Now I’m not joining the growing band of supporters who are starting to mutter that annoying phrase – ‘It’s Coming Home’ – I am eager to see how all the big teams get on.

Personally, I can’t see England getting anywhere near the final, their recent form shows they’ve only beaten Wales and Iran, two poor teams, after a disastrous UEFA Nations League campaign.

But what does interest me are the viewing figures.

With games being played early in the day now being something of the past and with games now taking place in the afternoon and in the evening, are we set to see viewing figures climb or will they decrease as soon as England crash out?

International football, as I’ve stated before, does not hold the same significance, to me, as domestic football, but I wanted to know if that was a thought shared by those that visit our site.

Therefore, it provided the perfect opportunity to use our poll facility with the question being:

What Is Your Preference?

With just the two options to choose from:

• Club Football

and

• International Football

Interestingly, the vote was extremely one-sided with Club Football claiming 96% of the votes cast and International Football just 4%.

Roll on Middlesbrough (a), on Saturday 10th December is all I’ll say!

But, before I finish, anyone care to predict at what stage England will crash out of the competition?
