Yesterday, as the various news sources predicted, the Barnsley goalkeeper, Jack Walton signed for the Hatters.
The deal was confirmed, by the the Official Site late in the afternoon.
As appears to be the norm these days, the fee is described as ‘undisclosed’ something that regular visitors to this site, know I have my views on that terminology.
However, that’s an argument we’ll continue another day.
With the deal now confirmed, we thought we’d publish one of our mini fact files on our new arrival:

Place of Birth – Bury, England
Height – 6 feet 2 inches
Position – Goalkeeper
Youth Career – Bury, Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley
Career – Barnsley, Stalybridge Celtic (loan)
While at Barnsley, Walton made 47 league appearances, since joining them back in 2015.
With a contract that was due to expire in August of this year, it would appear that Barnsley have decided to cash in on Walton before he is available on a free transfer.
