The summer of 2021 was a whirlwind time with a plethora of transfer deals struck.

One such deal involved our young defender, Corey Panter, going out on a season long loan deal to the Scottish Premier League side, Dundee.

Our article – defender-signs-new-deal-ahead-of-loan-move – relating to the loan move, implied that we would do our utmost to report back on how Corey progresses while out on loan.

Unfortunately for the youngster he has had to wait what must seem like an eternity to make his debut for Dundee in the Scottish Premier League.

However, courtesy of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that moment arrived on Boxing Day when the youngster was selected to start against Aberdeen.

Sadly, Dundee’s selection process for the fixture had been seriously hampered by COVID with the squad of 15 that travelled to Aberdeen consisting of 3 goalkeepers and their 40-year-old assistant manager, Dave Mackay, on the bench.

Although Dundee started the game well, taking the lead, they were to lose the game 2-1, nevertheless, it must have been a marvellous day for Corey getting his first taste of action in the Premier League after having made just 2 appearances in cup games for the club.

Hopefully, it will be the first of many.
