Last night, down at Ashton Gate, a familiar face came to the Hatters rescue, equalising in stoppage time to give Luton a share of the spoils.
But while Danny Hylton gets the accolades for scoring is first Championship goal, it was not long ago that, here at Vital Luton Town, we were discussing his future.
Our article – the-danny-hylton-conundrum – carried the suggestion that Danny, if he were fit at the time, could well have left the club in the summer transfer window, but it also carried the inference, from Nathan Jones, that the striker could still do the club a service at this level.
Now, it remains to be seen just how frequently, when everyone is fit, Danny plays and how many goals he can score this season but give the lad credit where it is due.
Following the stoppage time equaliser, social media was alive with jubilant Luton supporters praising the striker:
Absolutely delighted for him. Whatever people think of him, he deserved to have a Championship goal on his CV at the very least. I'd have been happy if it had been a consolation in a heavy defeat, but to be one that earns us a deserved point is fantastic. SUPER DANNY HYLTON

He may be getting old, his best days may well be behind him but, like they say, never write off a natural goalscorer.
The question remains though, will he get any of the action on Saturday, against Swansea City, or will Nathan Jones revert to type?
