Luton Support Confident 2021/2022 Is Going To Be A Good One

Four games into Luton’s plethora of pre-season friendly fixtures and with four wins things are going well.

However, we feel obliged to highlight the fact that the four games we have played have all been against weak opposition, perhaps the acid test will come when we go up against Portsmouth and more importantly, Brighton and Hove Albion, at Kenilworth Road.

But although we are still a little under three weeks away from the start of the 2021/2022 Championship season, it is great to see the Hatters back in action as preparations continue for the new season.

It is also the time of the year when the expectation levels of the support start to surface.

For the Hatters, the outcome of the season will, in my view, depend on how the plethora of new signings settle in and how quickly Nathan Jones can decide upon his best starting XI.

But although there are still a lot of things up in the air, it did not stop us, here at Vital Luton Town, posting a poll with the all-important question –

Your Expectations For This Season Are?

with the three options to choose from being:

Play-Offs
Mid Table

and

Bottom Third

The results show that the fan base is optimistic that this could be a season to remember with 42% believing their side will reach the Play-Offs.

If that does happen then the coming season will truly be a memorable one.

However, I am inclined to go along with the 54% that reckon the side will claim a Mid Table position, preferably an improvement on the 12th position we achieved last season.

Which leaves just a mere 4% believing Luton, after the squad revamp, will struggle and finish in the Bottom Third.

But what are your views on the above subject matter?
