The Hatters were very active in the final days before the summer transfer window slammed shut but did, they miss a trick?
Ahead of the closure several of those who visit Vital Luton Town were hoping that the Hatters would bolster their striker force.
Okay, Luton did sign Sam Nombe from the MK Dons, but I get the feeling that he is more of a player for the future than now.
Yesterday, against Stoke City, the Hatters starting XI did not include James Collins with the striker side-lined through injury.
As a result, Danny Hylton was given a rare start but failed to deliver.
Following the defeat, it was noticeable that several supporters left social media comments relating to the Hatters strike force, with some highlighting the very predicament we have already discussed:

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and, hopefully, somebody will step up and provide the goals, but will be left to rue not bringing in a classy striker in the transfer window?
