Back in January, when the transfer window was open, you may recall that those who frequent Vital Luton were begging Nathan Jones to sign a striker.
As it turned out our prayers were answered when Elijah Adebayo was signed from Walsall.
However, it appears that as well as signing a striker the Hatters could also have said goodbye to a striker.
According to The 72, there was some serious interest in Danny Hylton from the League One side, Bristol Rovers.
In fact, our source suggests that Luton were happy to let the striker leave but that Hylton wanted to stay and fight for his place in the side.
As it turned out, the newly signed Adebyao cemented a place in the starting eleven and Hylton has, since the closure of the January transfer window, played truly little first-team football for the Hatters.
Since signing for Luton, Hylton has made 148 appearances and scored on 58 occasions but, at 32-years-of-age, could Danny be one of those who are set to leave Kenilworth Road this summer as Nathan Jones reshapes his squad?
Will Danny Hylton Remain At Luton Next Season?
Yes!
No!
