As we continue our series, relating to your perceived futures of some members of the Luton squad, this one could be interesting.

For the latest in our series, I have chosen the midfielder, George Moncur.

Moncur has been with the Hatters since January 2019, joining from West Ham United, with the fee remaining undisclosed.

Since joining Luton, George has made 51 appearances for the Hatters but this season, has struggled to earn a regular place in the starting eleven making just 10 Championship starts.

In those 10 starts the midfielder has scored on 3 occasions with those goals coming against Huddersfield Town (a), Norwich City (h) and Wycombe Wanderers (a).

Moncur also scored the winner in the FA Cup tie against Reading, a goal that set Luton up for a lucrative trip to Stamford Bridge, to take on Chelsea.

However, despite George having his admirers here on Vital Luton Town, that popularity does not appear to be mirrored by Nathan Jones who does not use George as much as we would like to see.

Now whether Nathan believes George has a future at Kenilworth Road remains to be seen.

But what are your views on the future of George Moncur?

Morning mh, I would like moncs to stay but feel he is in the same boat as Lee so who knows. My understanding is that 7 to 10 players could leave in the summer out of contract released or sold on. So expect a busy transfer window.

afternoon all, i think Moncs is worthy of a new 1yr deal and deserves to keep his place in the squad. Despite scoring some important goals for us he’s only actually played 5 full games for us since signing 26 months ago.
Of those 5 games we won 4 of them !

averaging a goal every 5 games with his sparse appearances is pretty decent going
