Luton – Play It Again Sam

After the Hatters decided not to take up the option of buying Sam Nombe, the player also discovered that his parent club, MK Dons, were not going to offer him a contract either.

Last summer, Nombe was given the chance to show that he could cut the mustard in the Championship.

Us supporters were hopeful that we had gotten a rough diamond, on loan, who could prove to be a bargain.

Sadly, for all parties concerned, it never worked out like that and Nombe only started 1 game in the Championship and never scored goal in any competition for Luton Town FC.

It came as no surprise that the Hatters decided he was not for them.

However, it has not taken Sam long to find a new club with our associates at Luton Today, confirming that the 22-year-old had put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the League Two side Exeter City.

Here at Vital Luton, we would like to take this opportunity to wish Sam all the best.

Perhaps dropping into League Two will enable the striker to reignite his career and who knows in this crazy game of ours, our paths may cross again, stranger things have happened!

Sorry this boy showed commitment but just wasn’t good enough. To wear a luton shirt hope he finds success somewhere else. I’m sure he’ll be followed out by another who isn’t good enough for luton
