And so it came to pass that on this day, 05-July-2021, we were given the news we all hoped for.
As things stand, now, the 19-July-2021, will see all the restrictions we have been living under lifted.
Of course, it will have to be ratified this time next week but that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter.
But the upshot of the announcement made by Boris Johnson is that we can return, in droves, to our natural stomping ground, Kenilworth Road, for the 2021/2022 season, after what seems like an eternal wait.
It will certainly be strange walking along Dunstable Road and turning up Kenilworth Road to revisit the quaint old ground.
Already my anticipation levels are rising, I can almost hear the noise associated with the old place and the smells that are particular to our home.
August, and that first game, is just over a month away, instead of being prisoners of the pandemic, we are now being given the chance, courtesy of the vaccine programme, to return to almost normal.
Bring it on is what I say!

Perhaps the population WON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN 🙂
Great news that the Kenny will be back to full capacity. Unfortunately there is no mention around live games being broadcast to those, especially disabled supporters where the live matches have been a godsend, and to those who because of demand are unable to get a ticket.
good point David, I guess it’ll come down to cost, but I’ll keep an eye out for any news on the subject.
