Luton – No Sensational Return For Impressive Midfielder

With the transfer grapevine surprisingly quiet today, I did manage to stumble across a little something relating to somebody who served us well last season, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The midfielder, on a season long loan deal, returned to his parent club, Leicester City, after his loan period came to an end.

It was hoped that the Hatters hierarchy could persuade Leicester to let us have the player for another season and it is a subject we have been looking at since the last ball of the 2020/2021 season was kicked, our latest offering being – a-dewsbury-hall-update.

Today, articles have appeared, the most prominent coming on his host clubs’ website, Dewsbury-Hall Eager To Shine For Leicester, inferring that the player is looking to establish himself in the Leicester City first team squad and make an impact as the season progresses.

Although I did not expect Dewsbury-Hall to return to Luton for another season, the realisation that is almost certainly the end result, does leave me feeling disappointed.

But it would appear that the relationship Luton have with Luton, following the deals involving James Justin and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, remains solid, even more so with Leicester’s Khanya Leshabela, on trial at Kenilworth Road when several other Championship sides were wanting to take him on loan, as we reported yesterday – loan-signing-announcement-expected
