It is still March but already Luton Town Football Club, in stark contrast to last season, have hit the 50-point mark in the Championship.

Considering where we were at this stage of last season where relegation looked likely, sat in 13th place and safe from relegation is just what, back before the first game of the season against Barnsley (a), the doctor ordered.

Having hit the 50-point mark, here at Vital Luton Town, we are hoping the sides confidence will shine through and the shackles will be dispensed with as we attempt to push onwards and upwards and play the entertaining football our club is renowned for.

It would also be great if we could start converting more of those chances we are creating, but one step at a time is the current mantra.

Following the 1-0 win at Preston, incidentally our first win at Deepdale for 50-years, social media was alive with congratulatory comments:

With the announcement that the Power Court development is on track, albeit with a few changes, these really are exciting times to be a Hatter.

It is just a crying shame we are still in lock down otherwise we could have all celebrated together in one of the town centre public houses!
