Transfer speculation, as far as Luton Town goes, continues to gather momentum as Nathan Jones looks to revamp the squad.
This morning, here on Vital Luton Town, we covered the speculation linking us with the possible acquisition of the Portsmouth centre-back, Jack Whatmough – luton-linked-with-defender-acquisition.
This afternoon, speculation has emerged in several news sources, including, Football League World, that the Hatters are interested in Fred Onyedinma.
Onyedinma, 24-years-of-age, is a winger who made 46 appearances for the Adams Park based club, in all competitions, last season, scoring on 5 occasions and producing 4 assists.
Wycombe, in their first ever spell in the Championship, failed, despite a gallant effort, to stave off relegation and their manager, Gareth Ainsworth, is perfectly aware that several of his squad could be wanted by Championship clubs.
As far as Onyedinma goes, he has one-year left on his contract and Wycombe could decide to cash in this summer rather than lose him for nothing last season.
But when it comes to a possible price, none of the news sources reporting the speculation are offering a price.
With the Hatters being far from prolific in front of goal could Onyedinma be the player to open up Championship defences for us?
How do you view his possible signing?
Would it get a thumbs up or a thumbs down from you?
Fred Onyedinma Linked To Luton?
Thumbs Up!
Thumbs Down!
Also, if Luton were to sign Onyedinma, could we see the departure, this summer, of LuaLua?
Your thoughts on the above subject matter would be greatly appreciated in the comment facility beneath this article.

Great signing young an a good replacement for lua lua. I’m expecting him to be released.
Also hear that the retained list is to be released in the next couple of days
Great signing , exciting player…..
very happy with this bit of business, he can play in various positions which gives us more options.
Wycombe fans in meltdown about his departure 😭

I just hope that our next signing is an 20 goal a season striker
i think we already have that striker in elijah.cant wait to see fred ,and what he can do.COYH
E lads, Fred and eli up front…lol…
will he have Fred on his shirt or Onyedinma?
Was looking forward to the euros, but look who has joined England’s coaching team….ARGH….
Oh my god, so that’ll be Rashford at centre-back, Chilwell right wing and John Stones up front as we pursue the square pegs in round holes coaching methods!
Does anyone believe that the town seriously are trying to sign kdh as one site is suggesting!!! An sorry jimbo but don’t see elijah as a 20 goal a season man yet give the boy time. We can’t rely on that this season. We must have a proven guy to help him.
Don’t forget pickford taking corners…..
🙂
We was never gonna win the euros. Now we will struggle to get out of the group lmao.
KDH, signed a 4 year with the foxes before his loan, so that would be a miracle…..
Aidy Boothroyd & now Graeme Jones …….. what chance do we have of ever winning something.
I walked past a betting shop the other day that had a sign in the window saying England 6/1 to win the Euro 2021, the missus asked me what does that actually mean ?
I replied “it means if you put £10 on England ……….. you will lose £10” 😀

you are right to show caution with elijah being a 20 goal striker chris, and if we get a proven 20 goal striker would be great, can we afford what every other club want. we have to get the ball to the strikers ,whoever they are,we need players who can tackle and dribble the ball through the middle, sounds like a job for fred? wonder if kioso and cornick could link up on the right, what a combo that could be.this football lark is like a game of chess, hope we are moving in right direction.
