Luton – Inconsistency Raises Its Ugly Head (Again)

It has been 40 hours, almost, since the Hatters dropped two more valuable points, this time on the road at Peterborough.

I’ve not been silent because of my disappointment but because I’ve been out of the office, as they say.

But, like many others, I’m struggling to comprehend why, when pre-international break we were in such good form and now it all appears to have gone to pot.

Is it a case of the international break disrupting our rhythm, or have we, as a squad, simply run out of steam?

Of curs, I’m not alone in thinking we should have gotten more than a point against a Peterborough side who are bottom of the table, even more so when we were a goal up and quite capable of getting another goal to settle the game.

But, once again, inconsistency appears to be our biggest opponent.

Following the final whistle, as you would expect, social media was alive with posts, from Hatters supporters, airing their opinions, most of those posts, as shown below, were critical of the performance and the result:

Us making Peterborough look like Fulham or Brazil is a bit much though!

But while we are all a little upset that we dropped another two points, perhaps we should finish by putting things into perspective, something perfectly illustrated by the following posts:

Exactly, we still occupy a play-off place, and our future is in our own hands, so let’s not get too disconsolate.

Morning mh, let’s be fair here we dodged another bullet Tues how we didn’t concede 4 or 5 I don’t know. Shea yet again proved to be as good as any keeper used this season. As I said the break does us no good. Or maybe nj felt that Mondays game is the big game and is holding back for that.

We have players playing out of position due to injuries, our defence is decimated.
No Lockyer, Burke, Osho, Clarke or Berry.
    Bradley still not fit.
    What do you expect????
