Losing can be a bitter-sweet pill to swallow, even more so, as was the case against Swansea City, where we were the better side.
But come the final whistle, although I was naturally disappointed to see the Hatters get nothing from the game, my thoughts were with Dan Potts.
Potts, a dependable player, lay stricken on the Kenilworth Road turf for several minutes after coming off worse in a collision.
In such cases, you fear for the safety of the player and it must have a detrimental effect on his team mates to see someday stretchered away in such a worrying state.
Thankfully, we were later to learn that Potts injury was not as bad as first feared with Luton Today carrying the following remarks from the boss, Nathan Jones:
“He’s fine.
“It just shook him up a bit, but it wasn’t concussion or anything, it just shook him up.”
I think it shook everybody up but, thankfully, Potts will be available for selection for what, after two successive defeats, will be a crucial home fixture against Coventry City.
