When gauging the standard of a performance, it is so easy to get carried away with blinkered vision.
Personally, I thought the Hatters were, as I have remarked in a previous article – that-worrying-trend-is-continuing – very poor in the first half and teams better than Derby County, would have taken the opportunity to batter us.
Perhaps that first half clouded my judgement on the complete 90 mins, even more so when you consider Fred’s glorious chip that hit the bar could have given Luton all three points.
Therefore, as is the norm, I took to social media, this morning, to see how others viewed Luton’s performance.
Several, as the post below illustrates, agreed with me:
Poor

But others, took comfort from the fact that we had grabbed a late point:
Good point considering how poor we were, onto Saturday you 👒s

I’ll take that considering the first half
— Matt Thompsett (@thompsett_matt) October 19, 2021
Take that all day as I think we were poor tonight

While others concentrated on how Luton have, in the last two games, both away from home, showed character:
First half were out of shape but second half we really applied ourselves and coming back twice away from home shows a lot of spirit well done lads 🧡

Decent point considering our away record at Derby. Beat Hull and its a good week 😌

Indeed, if we can beat Hull City, on Saturday, it will give us 7 points out of the last 9 available, a more than decent return.
But, perhaps an indication of just how we are performing this season is summed up by the following post:
Only two teams have lost fewer games than us this season: Bournemouth & West Brom. After 13 games that’s some going! On the way up! COYH

Now that is something to warm the cockles of our hearts.
COYH’s
Luton Town v Hull City?
Luton Town to Win!
Hull City to Win!
A Draw!

Luton – That Worrying Trend Is Continuing
Hi MD, some good comments there , I was pleased with the point but before the game was thinking about 3 , we are just lacking that killer goal can’t argue with the fight in the team can’t remember having to come back from being behind so many times , if we can start all games which we have won who knows where we would be in the league. Maybe we should make them pla subs for half an hour before kick off so we can get a full 90 minutes out of them!
So gj is interim manager at Newcastle I said when he went there it was cos he was after Bruce’s job. If he gets it permanent then they’ll be Relegated!!!
Down before Easter 🙂

Could do with some lovely trolling of the watfud YouTube uploads. They’re disgusting to view though.
