As the inquest into the Hatters abysmal defeat, at the hands of Birmingham City yesterday, continues, I have already covered Nathan Jones views.
However, in the article we published, here at Vital Luton Town – boss-lost-for-words-after-birmingham-debacle – I purposely left out one line that Nathan came out with because I thought it was worthy of a separate article.
Nathan, in explaining away the problems Luton have with players who are not available, and as published by the Official Site came up with the following line:
“We are missing players, another two centre-halves, Lansbury today as well. Hylton, Berry, Dan Potts, all people you regard as being strong men for us. We are lacking a bit of that and we are looking forward to getting them back.”
It was a line that brought about a scathing response, on social media, from the Hatters support, as the following posts illustrate perfectly:
Digging the Barrel if regards Hylton makes us stronger, the players today should have had more pride

It’s kinda sweet how he mentions Danny when he’s only started 8 of our last 103 league matches.

You know you’ve had a bad day if you’re referring to the fact Danny Hylton is out like he might have played today, or even been on the bench. 🤦♂️

If hylts starts I’m out

Does the phrase ‘Clutching At Straws’ spring to mind?
It is never good to see the support in this kind of mood but after waiting to see Luton in action for so long, courtesy of the pandemic, and having been served a treat in the opening game of the season, it is hard to be too sympathetic!
