New Town Boss Kevin Blackwell is looking to bring in his own backroom team as he begins the tall order of attempting to keep Luton in the Championship.

His former assistant manager at Leeds United Sam Ellis was reported to be travelling to Kenilworth Road today to discuss the move. Ellis is currently on Stoke City’s coaching staff.

Another of his Leeds management team John Carver is also reported to be on Blackwell’s wish list. Carver left Leeds in September 2006, and was reported as taking part in training sessions already.

It seems that Brian Stein’s days as first team coach may be numbered, but from the fans’ point of view, a shake up was required and some new thinking, and it looks as though Kevin Blackwell will provide just that.
