Not that long ago, here at Vital Luton Town, we pondered over what the future holds for Simon Sluga.
Our article, on the Croatian goalkeeper – fans-fear-for-keepers-future – concentrated on the fact that there has been no knows on the goalkeepers’ future with his contract set to expire in the summer and with Sluga, come January, being able to negotiate with clubs, on mainland Europe, who may be keen to acquire his services.
On Saturday, against Hull City, Sluga kept another clean sheet, although it is fair to say that our opponents, Hull City, were pretty toothless in attack.
That clean sheet, as the following social media post points out:
Seven clean sheets so far this season, the most in the Championship 👍

now considering our recent injury / illness concerns, with the starting XI being chopped an changed, is a remarkable achievement.
It also reminds me of an article I posted, back in August – sluga-and-the-clean-sheets-conundrum – that covered the results of a poll I held relating to the number of clean sheets Sluga would keep this season.
Please feel free to click on the link and remind yourselves how the vote went.
Next up for Luton Town, next weekend, is a trip to Deepdale, to take on Preston North End, another clean sheet would be just champion.
COYH’s
Preston North End v Luton Town?
Preston to Win!
Luton to Win!
A Draw!
