Luton – A Far Better Solution

With our game, against Middlesbrough, having been moved until Monday, I thought I’d do a catch-up on a previous topic.

When Gary Sweet announced promotion, to the Premier League, would cost the Hatters close to £10million, to enable the ground, to reach top-flight status the possibility of – ground-sharing – rose its head.

Now it proved to be a controversial subject, but it was raised purely on the fact that Gary had pointed out the difficulties doing the work required in the time available presented.

The article itself contained a poll suggesting two possible destinations Luton Town could take advantage of – The MK Stadium or Vicarage Road.

Incidentally, according to my records, it proved to be the most voted upon poll in this site’s history.

Looking at the result though, one thing was clear, the vast majority of those that voted, 88%, had no intention of seeing their side play at Vicarage Road on a regular basis.

But, if push came to shove and Kenilworth Road was not ready for the start of the season, could there be another alternative available?

I’m sure I can recall occasions of other clubs being allowed to play their first few home fixtures away from home in order to facilitate the completion of construction works, now wouldn’t that be the ideal solution?

Having spoken to Gary sweet in the pub before Rotherham game there is absolutely zero chance we will ground share with anybody let alone scum or mongs , everything is in place to start the upgrading of the Kenny the day after play off final if we win it

proper planning will enable this work to be done easily in time .look at how quick buildings are erected these days. at the end of the day, this will be money well spent. the ultimate aim is power court. getting promotion will give 2020 some equity to start building at last. whatever happens the future looks good.
