Luton – Four Out Of Six Wasn’t Too Bad

This time last week, I don’t mind admitting I was feeling a little pensive.

The Hatters had come so far this season, I didn’t want those play-off dreams dashed, even though we were on a good run of form, by two poor results on the road.

Although our away form has been magnificent all season (so far), something deep inside me was troubling me, little did I know it had nothing to do with football, but that’s another story……

But with games against Rotherham United and Reading on the horizon, I just knew how important points would be as we looked to secure a vital EFL Championship play-off place.

I wanted that play-off place sealed, I didn’t want to live in a pressure cooker with the Hatters going into that last game, against Hull City, needing to get a result, I wanted, for want of a better phrase, to be in the comfort zone.

Thankfully, Rob Edwards and the boys delivered, a fine away win against Rotherham United (2-0) followed by a draw at Reading (1-1) ensured I, like many others, can relax (for the moment) as we prepare for those last three games that precede the play-off fixtures.

Ahead of my moment of pensiveness, I opted to post a poll, entitled:

How Many Points Will Luton Get In The Next Two Games At Reading And Rotherham?

providing three options:

6 points
3-4 points
0-2 points

As you’ve probably deducted, Luton admirably accumulated 4 points from those two games, something 48% of those who voted predicted.

As for the remainder of the votes cast, 47% were of the opinion the Hatters would take all 6 points available, whereas the remaining 5% went for the disastrous scenario of 0-2 points.

As for myself, in that pensive mood, I reckoned we’d get three, I’m not saying which game I thought we’d win and which I thought we’d lose!
